Love this cooking tip
I was watching the Today Show yesterday and heard the best cooking tip! Mark Bittman, author of How to Cook Everything was on the show teaching a busy family how to easily incorporate healthier choices into their daily lives. He said that whenever you start cooking put on a pot of water...you can always use a pot of hot water. Whether for pasta, rice or sauces...it will always come in useful. I just love this tip! Going to try it out. I don't know how many times I've started cooking dinner and thought pasta or rice would be a great addition, but I didn't plan well enough in advance so I just scrapped it.

You mean you learned something from the Today Show without me being on it?!? That's craziness!
ReplyDeleteAs for the pot of water, I don't cook, so you'd have to talk me through that one. =)
Great tip! It's so true. I've always got frozen veggies that I can add to my meal. And I can't tell you how long I've wanted to make a macaroni salad but didn't becasue I never boiled the pasta.
ReplyDeleteHi there! So glad you came by for a visit. Now I have a new blog to follow as well. So nice to meet you!
